Cleared out the room & bookshelves ... removed 3 rugs and found 1 large rug with unifying colors being used in another room. Then brought furniture, lighting & accessories back in. Originally this room had 2 lamps ... now there are 5 distributed for function and the finishing touch. Layered lighting is key for creating a warm & cozy feeling.
